the meaning behind the name
Calada Era Poeta comes from a portuguese expression that translates to “if I kept quiet, I would be a poet”.
Growing up, I had this bad habit of speaking whatever was on my mind without filtering it at all. I was too impulsive for my own good and often found myself in conflict because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut.
When I was looking for a name to become my artistic alter ego, I passed through a graffiti with this expression and well… it was just perfect.

The name in my citizen card is Ana Beatriz Casimiro, borned on a Wednesday (2/9/98).
I’m a queer designer and illustrator from Porto, Portugal. My studio is a little corner in the attic that I love very much.
I’m plant obsessed, but it’s always a struggle to keep them alive. I blame my ADHD for forgetting to water them. And my cat, for trashing them.

I always wanted to have a dog.
Instead of adopting one, my boyfriend’s teckels adopted me!
Mega is 11/12 years old, but he’s still a baby. He wears diapers and cries a LOT.

There’s only one doggy that Lola likes: Mega. Apart from that, she only likes cats.
Lola is the ultimate alpha in the pack: she truly embodies the matriarchy.

I never wanted to have a cat. But then Sushi happened.
